- A successful poster should have the ability to engage the audience and relay a message in a memerable way.
- A big design will grab alot of attention. its important that the text could be easily read at a glance and from a distance.
- Stay focused on the message. don't do a bunch of unnecessary design elements and text.
- Your poster should have contrasting colors that do not blend in with the posters surroundings.
- Be different. Do a poster that is different from anything else.
- Use your poster skills to attract the audience or reader towards it.
- What you are showing in your poster should be obvious in your design, whether it be getting someone to call a number, or switching to green energy, for example.
- Think about your audience and where your poster will be displayed.
- A poster is more than a headline and image on a big piece of paper.
- Poster design should be short and sweet.
- Good structure. It’s important to know which elements will burden the focus of attention. Size, color, and position may change the focus of the elements.
- Negative or positive diagonals, horizontal or verticals are also included in structure.
