so, my poster, or i should say logo, was an olive tree, in the moon light, with the words blood wedding too. i know i could i have done alot better, but it turned out well. the use of colour was only and only could be black white and red, which acually worked out perfectly. in the begining, my whole idea for the poster or logo was to have one of those bent over tree's in the moon light, with it being all red and blood like looking, but that didn't work out to well, so i ended yp doing that. the type, i thought worked with it, it wasnt to fancy, you were able to read what i was saying, and i thought it worked well with the picture. the logo dosent have any of the characters on it, its just the olive tree branch, which worked pretty well. it was a spanish 50 60's sort of theme..or something like that, and it looked good on the t-shirt also. personally, it was not the direction i wanted to go in, i wanted to have the characters, so it gave it more of an intense look to it, its plain and not to crowded, which again, i think worked well with it. the limit to colour was not a problem either. having the moon in the logo was what alot of people decided to do, but it worked differently with each of out designs, so its was cool. in the end, i was satisfied (which is what i seem to say about all my work) with how my design turned out, again, like i said before, i personally would have went a different way with it, but that was good to.

I was google searching some images, and i stubbled upon this neat picture. it really caught my eye, because its all dark and interesting. it kind of scared me at firts, it remined me of like some sort of solar system supernova or something. i like the colors used and the design they chose. its dark, but bright and eye catching, and i find it facinating. this is what inspired me. (well this week at least)

so this is a picture that i found to be somewhat inspirational. i like alot of colours, and i love when theres alot of colour with black as a background, and this paint splatter i found to be very nice. i would like to do some kind of design like that, maybe on a wall, or i like hats, its cool when hats have this type of effect. but anyways, this was own photo or design that inspired me.

Lakeshore Idol Posters
so these are the posters that we had to design for our lakeshore idol. here are some good and bad things about it.
its cool that both the posters match, coincidentally, the text, colour, and style both blend failry well together.
both the pictures are somewhat the same, so its not as tho one is all classical type pic, and one is rock star.
the information is clearly stated
the one where she's leaning on her hand, is a bit more stronger, because the space is used better, and it looks more evened out and such. the other one wheres she's standing, is kind of one sided and not as bold and out there as the other one. ( but for the record, i did what she asked me too, so where it says vote for and then the logo, she asked me to do that. so, i followed the clients needs)
the logo works well with the design and text
its eligable and it works.
Orchestral zeplin Poster
So the assignment was to design a poster for orchestral zepplin. here are some poster analysis for the good and bad elements of my poster.
- less is more. not to much information and design to make the poster look cluttered and over done.
the text and the design convey the same idea. its not total opposites.
theres to much blank spaces, and the space dosent seem to be used the way it should or is able to.
what i'm showing is pretty obvious, however there are ways were i could have used more design to show what exactly the poster is saying.
its not as different as it could be.
the poster dosent emphisis orchestral zepplin. not showing enough of the "rock meets orchestral" theme.
maybe a use of more colors, different colours perhaps.
the struture and position and where i decided to place things needs work. however, it was rushed..
uneccessary elements, like the random music note i have there.

- A successful poster should have the ability to engage the audience and relay a message in a memerable way.
- A big design will grab alot of attention. its important that the text could be easily read at a glance and from a distance.
- Stay focused on the message. don't do a bunch of unnecessary design elements and text.
- Your poster should have contrasting colors that do not blend in with the posters surroundings.
- Be different. Do a poster that is different from anything else.
- Use your poster skills to attract the audience or reader towards it.
- What you are showing in your poster should be obvious in your design, whether it be getting someone to call a number, or switching to green energy, for example.
- Think about your audience and where your poster will be displayed.
- A poster is more than a headline and image on a big piece of paper.
- Poster design should be short and sweet.
- Good structure. It’s important to know which elements will burden the focus of attention. Size, color, and position may change the focus of the elements.
- Negative or positive diagonals, horizontal or verticals are also included in structure.
- The typography should convey the same idea as the design.
